The Ink maintenance box, also known as waste ink tank or maintenance cartridge. The printhead must be cleaned every time the printer is turned on. Emptying Waste Ink Tank
The waste ink has conductive properties, once it flows into the printer board and other electrical components, it may burn them. So when waste ink over capacity occurs, you should replace the waste ink tank or empty the waste ink tank timely.
First, take the waste ink tank out of the printer, use a clean cloth or paper towel to clean up the waste ink pad in the tank, rinse the pad with water if necessary, and dry it. If the pad is too dirty, you may replace it with a new one. Then you should reset the waste ink counter.
If the waste ink tank is without a chip, you may use the software to reset the printer’s waste ink counters. If the waste ink tank has a chip, you should replace the chip or reset the chip with a chip resetter.
