Premium Epson Dot Matrix Print Head
The printhead is a crucial component of a dot matrix printer. It consists of pins, electromagnet wire coils, springs, armatures, shells, and a pin guide plate. When printing, the coil of the Epson dot matrix print head is energised, generating a magnetic field that attracts the armature (iron core) forward. This magnetic force pushes the printing pins forward, overcoming the return spring’s force and striking the ink ribbon. This applies pressure to the contact area between the ribbon and the paper, pressing ink particles onto the paper surface to form a dot matrix pattern.
